bike, shed, & gym

In leiu of the stomach flu the 5 of us have battled over the past 4 days... we've managed to stay busy.
Hunter has been enjoying the heck out of his birthday money-earned new BMX bike.  He is determined to master the jumps at Creek Park.  I pray for no injuries everytime he heads down there with his friends.
Dusan has been assembling his Father's Day gift... clearing, leveling, weed-killing the perfect 7 X 7 space for his tool shed.

Avery has been busy perfecting some new tricks...

the good old YMCA...
And while the boys are at baseball camp, and Avery at church camp, I continue to catch up on the endless laundry that comes hand in hand with the stomach flu.  Oh lucky me!

These have been his department since day one.

And although they aren't always the crowd favorite...
and sometimes there are even tears involved...
the job is always done with care and detail.

just 2 of the many things this dad does right.

Happy Father's Day.

summer driveway series test run

Our first attempt at an outdoor movie was a success.  Gulliver's Travels.  popcorn, blankets, a few neighbors.  a perfect night under the stars.  I have a feeling next week's showing won't be so quiet...

a little older. a little wiser.

Last day of school today for my 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders... A 6:45 a.m. photo was just what they had in the plans for the day... not!
Said goodbye to my Scotty Dog and hello to my Matador.  Hard to believe he'll be cruising the halls of my middle school in a few short weeks.
Starting summer off on the driveway tonight with a bang.  The sparklers we picked up in China Town in San Francisco a few weeks ago...

Nerf on Hunter's Turf.

Hunter turned eleven on June 10th and we celebrated with some poor man's paintballing.  He invited his closest friends for some Capture the Flag, water balloons, tug-o-war, obstacle courses, ping pong, fuze ball, and chow.  It truly was a glorified playdate which was the best part.
