Bridging.

Hard to believe this was 5 years ago.  These little Tiger Cubs have bridged from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts which felt like it happened with the blink of an eye.

The ceremony was marked with a traditional flag ceremony and concluded with the earning of the Arrow of Light which is the highest honor in Cub Scouts.

After earning the Arrow of Light, the boys bridged to their new Troop... 985.

There are two things that no one can take from these two... the fact that they are cousins and the 5 years-worth of scouting experiences they have shared.  Can't wait to see what lies ahead.

against her will.

Bath time is not Charlie's favorite but Davin and Avery do a good job getting it done.  This was an afternoon at the doggie day spa....

I'm the LUCKY one.

Feeling blessed and appreciative for my 12, 11, and 9 year old children today.  Where has the time gone?  LOVE how busy they keep me and couldn't have asked for a better team mate (Dusan) to experience this all with.  We're not pro's but we do our best one day at a time.

Tea for 27

Recently, Avery's class invited all the parents to be their guests at an afternoon tea in the library.  It was an adorable presentation of stories, poems, jokes, and even some sign language followed by yummy treats and drinks.  We were so impressed with all of the preparation that had taken place behind the scenes.  What a special treat for us all.

the babes are coming.

A getaway for the girls.  Avery and I (after a few hours of delay) went on a flight to San Francisco to take part in my sister Lisa's baby shower for my almost arrived niece and nephew...

 First flight.  monumental.

 Circus-themed shower.
 My beautiful sissy.
Avery can never get enough Aunt Lisa time.
Sunday we enjoyed a street fair in the mission District.

Monday we visited a few sites around the city including Golden Gate Park which was in full spring bloom.
Its fun to be city girls for a few days... I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of it come June.

El Capitan Canyon

3 days and 2 nights glamping in Santa Barbara.  Physically exhausting.... hiking, biking, swimming, exploring.

But... mentally rejuvenating.  I can't imagine another vacation spot that could compare.

Click here to see the El Capitan Canyon Website.  You won't be sorry.
