If my memory serves me correctly, when the boys were ready they just got on their two-wheelers and RODE!
Let me tell you, the practice sessions have not been glamorous by any means. I have heard her yelling things like "I hate this dad" "You are so mean!" "This bike is disgusting!" "I am NOT doing this anymore!" and by far my favorite was "Do you want me to spit on you?"
Again, i try to stay out of it as much as possible.

My son is four. He still has a baby tricycle that we must FORCE him to ride. Frustrating.

This is hilarious! I remembered learning to ride my bike sans training wheels. I remember b/c I was traumatized. My dad was less than patient but I was also a little older than Avery so it was definitely my time to learn. I laughed out loud at "This bike is disgusting" and "Do you want me to spit on you". Love it!! Good luck and tell Avery that she has a Wonder Woman shirt and she can do anything!!

YES!!! This is the funniest. I laughed out loud while reading this (during classtime- YIKES). The best part is Dusan with his huge smile while Avery looks none too happy. Good luck!
OMG...hilarious as I can totally picture it. Don't worry, I know I'm not too far behind. Again, this is a riot!!!!
It took me FOREVER to learn how to ride a bike. Dad was determined, and I'm sure I shed so many tears, too! She will get it.
I am crying! SO funny. We have one of those dads here, too. The good and the bad, right?? :o) I am thinking it's the way they were taught to ride their 2-wheelers in 1980!
let dusan know we have a 6 year old who refuses to try it without training wheels whenever he's ready for another challenge ;-)
