i really tried.
...but I never got used to having brown hair. Yesterday I started the process of going back blonde...and I am happy about it. It will take several attempts, in fact it sort of looks coppery right now, but it is worth it.

cheer up charlie.
I am not sure what is happening lately with her. Very subdued. Quiet. A loaner. Not wanting to play. Extra time sun bathing...the kind where you watch to see if she is breathing. Pouting. Slow. Always waiting by the sliding glass door. Not in a rush to go outside or in. She is 6 years old...which is pretty mature for a chihuahua. Maybe I should get her a new toy. Or perhaps some peanut butter? Do you have any spirit-lifting ideas?

year nine? check.
The school year ended with a bang. Our annual Greek Day kept the sixth graders roped in until the very last minute this year. I love that tradition and look forward to it every year. Here are Leanne and I adorning our Greek garb.
Bring on the summer.

golf 'n schtuff...
Hunter invited a few friends on Saturday night for a miniature golfing/ sleepover. I forgot what a good time golfing can be. It is quick, easy, and fun for all ages.
The boys headed onto one course, while Dusan, Avery, and I headed for another.
Avery's "victory" face each time she got the ball in the hole (even if it took 17 attempts).
I had to take a picture of the boys bedroom the morning after. It was a G.I Joe/Lego/Star Wars massacre. Evidence of a good time. And wouldn't you know little miss you know who was right there alone in the middle of it all.

Scotty Olympics
This was one of the most well organized elementary school events I have ever seen. The parents participation and enthusiasm were at an all time high! Every class represented a different country. In addition, each class rotated through 6 different events. There were opening and closing ceremonies. I was fortunate to get to work the obstacle course. Here are just a few of my favorite shots from the eventful day:
4 X 4 relay team.
Team Argentina: Davin's 1st grade class and their silly faces.
Team Germany: Hunter's 3rd grade class.
Even the principal took time out to run the obstacle course.
This day will go down as the best day of the year for the boys for sure. We are so lucky to be a part of this great school. This is just how it should be.
