latest work

Can you believe it is August, already??? This sunny little fellow popped up just in time in our yard to enjoy the last days of summer... This picture was taken courtesy of Avery...
Way to use that macro setting, girl!Part of my plan this summer was to get those darn pictures into albums, and try out a few new techniques that I had been eye-ing... Here is a card that I "doodled" for Annika's birthday..."Doodleing" is a fun way to embellish both cards and scrapbook pages, and the best part is there are no rules.
Next, I have been dieing to get my hands on a chipboard book. I have been seeing them everywhere and wasn't quite sure how to get started. With a little help from a friend at Scraparrazzi in Whittier, here are my results. (FYI- The book is all pictures that my dad took of me as a child. i had gotten my hands on a bunch of his BRILLIANT negatives last summer and had them developed. Growing up, our 3rd bathroom in the house was a dark room for developing pictures, my dad did some awesome photography when we were kids.) These are just the tip of the iceberg if you know what I mean....so here they are:
I was about 5 in the photo above, and below was the first day of 1st grade... don't I look excited?
Lisa with her ever-so-straight bangs, and me with my common wind-blown look,
enjoying dinner at the Mission Viejo house.
Me and mom on the beach... I'm guessing Huntington? I just LOVE this picture.
Yep, I'm unleashing some deep dark secrets here... i was a thumb sucker for WAY TOO long... not to mention my mom used a pick to comb her hair...
Ohhhh the phases we go through to be beautiful!

I'm thinking my dad once a had a burning desire to be a motorcycle cop with that thick, lush mustache...and I hope we were on our way to Disneyland that day?
Sam, our German Shepard/ Huskie mix dog of 18 years...
And finally one of my favorite pictures of me at approximately age 7...
hands on hips...a cheerleader in training.
These chipboards books are so easy to finish in a snap. They make a great gift and are a fun way to document a summer vacation.
I'm already starting on my second one... I'll post the results soon.
