In honor of Becky's 33rd birthday, last night these crazy ladies headed to the movie theater at 12:20 a.m. to see the movie "Eclipse" on opening night.  





Fueled by Starbucks and sporting our "Team Jacob" and "Team Edward" T shirts, we jumped in the most spirited minivan in town.

I think I enjoyed the comradery more than the movie itself.  Nevertheless, I wasn't slightly offended that the movie's wardrobe consultants forgot to put shirts on Jacob.  Nope.  Not at all.

I love that our summer days have consisted of not much more than this.  A little sun, paint, and creativity and Avery had whipped up birthday "cards" for her cousins in no time.

1st annual Ancich/ Anderson/ Olveira/ Salmons Family River trip was a success.  lazy mornings.  wiffle ball. beauty parlor. sombreros.  birthday celebrating pinata- style.  110 degree weather. rafts.  Lots of rafts.  floating miles down the river. cold beer.  skipping rocks. a few minor injuries. Bullhead City Walmart.  the burrrrrro.  lots of pancakes. carne asada. talent show. sandcastles.  movie nights.  World Cup Soccer.  The Villa. 

Just a few memories and traditions we hope to repeat next year.

A whirlwind.  Mixed in with awards ceremonies, a field trip to the park, teacher gifts, water day, finalizing 62 report cards, and packing up the classroom for summer... I was able to pop over to Avery's poetry presentation.  She did great. So proud.

Kindergarten Drive-In Movie Day.  Avery primed, painted, and designed her own hot pink convertible from a box.







10th annual Greek Day for my 6th graders.  Complete with a dance routine to "Grease is the Word" choreographed by yours truly.  So fun.



And now we exhale.  Sleep in.  Stay up late.  Apply sunscreen.  Sign up for the library summer reading program.  Slip 'n slide. Blend margaritas. Have sleep overs.  Reorganize closets.  Take day trips.  See old friends.

Today was the last day of the school year.  For all 5 of us.  I am officially the mom of a fifth, third, and first grader.  Fantastic!  We are off to enjoy a weekend full of Father's Day festivities followed by a few days at the river...

As one era ends, another begins.  My photography website has launched, just in time for summer.  I am excited about what might come of this.  Hoping my hobby (not my job) will keep me busy this summer.

Avery was chosen to recite a poem today at school.  I won't be able to be there, so I taped one of her practice run-throughs in the backyard.
