tales of a trampoline.

In effort to save as much money as possible this Spring Break, I have retitled it "FREEng Break".  We have attempted as many activities as we can without spending a dime: Bike rides, picnics outside, we've exhausted the game closet, rearranged bedrooms, played in the sprinklers, backyard barbeques, chalk art, set up tents, water color, playdoh, homemade skateboard ramps, trips to the park, endless games of HORSE, & everyone has pitched in with cooking.

But the kids favorite FREEng Break activity is the trampoline.  It never gets old.  Sometimes it is used for jumping.  But it also makes for a very effective wrestling ring.  Upon entrance, one must fend for themselves.  It is a free-for-all.  No rules.  But many consequences.  I do sometimes wonder what the neighbors must think?  It doesn't matter.  No injuries so far.  So far, so good.  It builds character, right?

Right. We've only had to call 911 once for a trampoline injury. That was 2 years ago.

Yes, I'm serious.

All's well that ends well, right?

i ♥ this post. those are the best spring breaks. we moved and had to give the kids' cousins our trampoline and i try to never mention it b/c they miss it something fierce (and mattresses now take the brunt of the wrestling -- they are not as forgiving in the injury dept)
