However when we visited the mission, there was a small room off of the main chapel. It was a very small room with a statue inside of Saint Peregrine. Hunter and I learned that many people pray to this saint for healing of both cancer and AIDS. After listening to the history of St. Peregrine, we were given an opportunity to write in a special prayer book, requesting for healing of a friend or loved one. We each took a turn leaving a special message in the prayer book. My heart skipped a beat when my turn followed his. I love what he wrote...all on his own.

Well, Hunter Ancich, I must tell you first how proud of you I am. Your heart and spirit are magnificent.
As a matter of fact Gary got the results back today from a test he took at the Doctor's office yesterday. We have been very worried because we thought we might get bad news.
Hunter, I must tell you, your letter in the Saint's book to pray for Gary may have indeed been the one that is helping him heal.
We got great news today. Some of the cancer is disappearing.
Thank you for your caring ways, and please always remember that what you did was wonderful and made a huge difference in someone else's life.
Thank you,
Love,
Steff

Wow... you have raised quite a thoughtful young man. I hope to instill that type of caring in my kids.
