On the first day back to school after Winter Break, I had my students do some self-reflection. They wrote three resolutions pertaining to school, personal achievement, and family.
The end result was adorable. They drew a self portrait and attached a party hat with the resolutions written on the top. Then I added party poppers out of each mouth. Fun!

you know these indoor classroom pics look pretty good I think :)
since you asked;
I use a Cannon 20D, I set the camera to AV mode, and the white balance for flourescent (sp?) lights. I set the ISO at 800 and just hope for the best :)
When I had a smaller point and shoot I set the scene mode for indoor and just always shut off the flash
